Blocked Youtube Videos on UK sites

I actually wonder why I am unable to access certain videos on Elvis or Sinatra which I watch with my fiance in USA - while im in the UK - - only way we can watch together is if he emails me the link as AOL instant messaging only brings up a message to me that the video is not accessible in my country.
Thought I lived in a Free Western Society yuk.
